The 8th season of the Pakistan super league will be played from 27 January 2023 to 27 February 2023.Initially Pakistan Super League(PSL) was started with five teams in February 2016 by the Pakistan Cricket Board. Quetta Gladiator, Karachi Kings, Lahore Qalandars, Peshawar Zalmi, and Islamabad United were part of the first season of the Pakistan Super League Islamabad United won the inaugural season of Pakistan Super League(PSL). The sixth team was added in year 2018. So far seven season of Pakistan Super league have been played Islamabad United is the most successful team among the all other teams of Pakistan Super League(PSL) having won two titles. Last year Lahore Qalanders were crowned the champions of the Pakistan super League.

lahore Qalandars were crowned the champions of PSL last year and are the defending champions this year. Big international names like South Africa’s David Miller picked by Multan Sultans, Rovman Powel, picked by Peshawar Zalmi Karachi Kings went for Matthew Wade, Islamabad United picked Alex Hales and Quetta Gladiators went for Jason Roy and Wanindu Hasaranga. While many big names mentioned above have been picked by the teams some of the big names such as Aaron Finch, Rassie van der Dussen, Kieron Pollard,  Shakib al Hassan, Dawid Malan, Lungi Ngidi, Mohammad Hafeez went unsoldWith a blend of exciting local talent and world-class foreign stars the teams still look balanced and well-sewn.
